Finally getting around to posting some photos from the first wedding of the season. We sent the Just the Tip Band down to Purcellville, VA to rock out for Sarah and Cory. The wedding was held at Silverbrook Farms and the band was set up in a completely restored 19th century barn. We also provided music for the ceremony which despite a little drizzle was held just outside the main house on the lawn. Chris played the Rolling Stone’s “Wild Horses” as Sarah walked down the aisle but she left the recessional music to his choice. Chris noticed a break in the rainy whether and wowed the bride and groom with the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” just as the clouds cleared. Big atta boy for his quick thinking. The band hit the stage a little bit later that evening.
Sarah and Cory made a grand entrance and headed straight for the dance floor as the band performed Lumineers’ “Ho Hey” while the bride and groom shared their first dance. All went well and the band played well into the night to a packed dance floor full of sing out loud happy guests. The band tackled a few special requests throughout the night playing new tunes “Sara” “Like Jesus Does” and big crowd favorite “Like a Prayer.” It was a great start to the season and we all had a blast. Congrats to the B&G!
